JDM Allstars round 3 would also be the opening event to launch Donington Park back into the motorsport calendar after its closure in 2009 after its attempt to hold the British F1 GP.
Round 2 was also the debut for Poland’s top two drivers Pawel Trela and Maciej Bochenek from the PFD series. Both new to the series but some series contenders after dominating in Poland this season. With the only one day event in the calendar Qualifying and Battles was packed into one day of action.
Immediately Dan Chapman, Luke Fink, Phil Morrison Pawel Trela and Maciej Bochenek looked on the pace showing great speed through the course. Championship leader Jon Calvert had a huge shunt on his second qualifying run after debuting his new Neuton Tyres S13. Jon was one of several cars that had hard impacts on turn 4 with the wall, which proved that this new alpine course was very demanding under its debut and was the most demanding track on the calendar.
After a gruelling Qualifying session Maciej Bochenek took the top qualifying position .He was closely followed by Luke Fink, Phil Morrison and Dan Chapman all gathering crucial extra qualifying bonus points.
Top 16 Battles
First of the battles was Bochenek Vs Tom Yates where Bochenek outright speed through the course shone through. 14 year old sensation in his newly finished Mckeevers 720HP RB26 Powered 180sx showed great form in qualifying but tagged the wall in his twin battle against Robin Neeson in his Chase which send Dwayne home with an early exit.

Alan McCord in his S15 V8 Vs Steve will in his BMW M3 turbo both over 700hp had a very close battle, but it was a mistake by McCord which sent him Steve will through to the Great 8.

Vincent Noot and Bon Bon faced off next in very close battle. In the second run Bon Bon led with one of the best runs of the day but a spin by Vincent Noot ended his day.
Great 8
First battle was Poland’s Bochenek in his Nissan R33 Vs Northern Irelands Robin Neeson in his Toyota Chaser. Both high powered cars. Robin’s day ended after he collided with the wall and then had a small engine fire.
Dan Chapman was up next in his Drift works/Federal Tyres Nissan Pawel Trela in the ASUS Nissan S13.This lead into one of the tightest battles of the day with both drivers making no mistakes and chasing each other door to door.
Phil Morrison in the Driftworks/Federal S15 faced Steve Will in his BMW M3 turbo and now running with the extra grip of Maxxis Tyres. A very tight battle with a small mistake by Steve in the second run where he had a spin decided the battle and Phil was through to the Final 4.

Phil Morrison Vs Luke Fink
Australia Vs England battle was again very tight. Fink was looking strong looking for his first win since coming to Europe in April. Phil rose to the occasion and ran hard showing the Australian the way around the track. With the battles so tight it ran to one more time. On the second run Morrison gets the advantage with a slight edge and enough to get him through to the final to face his team mate Dan Chapman.
Third/Fourth Place Playoff
Fink Vs Bochenek
Another very close battle but even with no handbrake now Fink fights and wins the third place battle.
Final
An all Driftworks/Federal Tyres Final and the Team Manager Phil Morrison would be facing his younger team mate current front running Driftworks driver in JDM Allstars.
Phil leads run one and blitz’s the course but a correction on entry by him is enough to give Chapman the advantage. Phil would follow Chapman on the return run trying to stay with the sheer speed off Chapman but this flawless return run was enough to give Chapman the win in JDM Allstars Round 2 from Donington Park.
