Build Feature - Falken Tyres Europe
With the season just under 7 weeks away, we are going to add a number pictures of each teams season re-builds. Pictures have been coming in from all the new teams and builds from all over. Expect some crazy cars in 2010.
Lennard Wanders world famous Falken BN Sports RB26 S14A has gone on a diet…
As you can see wanders went a bit crazy this season with lots of weight saving.
The whole interior and street look of the car was stripped out in favour of all out peformance for 2010.

Additional to the build, Wanders fitted a pedalbox for the 2010 Dutch Time Attack season. With backing from JBT Brakes and 8 pot front brakes and 6 pot brakes on the rear, a proper pedal box was required to get the best out of the package with the pedal box setup. Wanders will be one to watch with previous record laps at the home of the Dutch tuning scene in Zandvoort. Utilizing the Falken RT615 Tyre its going to make it an interesting season for him, be it Grip or Drifting.
Team mate Lars Verbraken is also busy in the Falken camp fitting a 1JZ-GTE into his Falken E30 BMW.
Lars was one of the big surprises of 2010 and his driver feature can be found here: http://www.jdmallstars.com/blog/?p=599
Lars did very well in 2009, but he changed the BMW V8 out for the Toyota lump in favour of cost effective power as it is very expensive the tune the BMW V8.
Also keen to make his car lightweight also, he decided on a rear mounted radiator.
The fire wall has also been cut for better weight distribution, and will give more weight on the rear end making sure those Falken RT 615’s are hooking up and making fast exits out of corners.
Lars is going for a HKS GT 3040 turbo top mount turbo. With some engine manegment and fueling they are looking to hit in the region of 500hp. Lars with this new setup is gonna be a great prospective.
Remmo Niezen 2009 JDM Allstars Champion in his dominating M5 Powered E30 has been rumoured to have made more changes to the car with a built M5 engine and supercharger. We will see more as the season gets closer and the builds get finished ready for pre-season testing.
The Falken Camp has been very busy this winter and again will be the team to watch. Will this be the year that all the Falken rivers will step a top of the podium together in 2010? We cant wait for the start of this season!
