Introducing the JDM AllStars Judges
Drifting is a judged motorsport, based on different factors such as speed of drift, line taken through a course, overall angle attained and driver panache. It's a tall order for a drift judge, it takes a keen unbiased eye and bags of experience - making a wrong call during the final throws of an intense battle never goes down well!
Luckily, the Triple Crown Series will be judged by 2 of the biggest names in the UK drifting scene, Julian Smith, a seasoned drift veteran who owns and runs a tuning garage called Garage-D and Mathew Steele, better known as 'Mitto', an energetic and enthusiastic drifter who has been instrumental in promoting drifting for over 8 years.

Julian Smith, the Kiwi turned Irishman and founder of the infamous 'Garage D' is the man that advanced drifting mechanically since day one.
Obsessed with steering geometry and chassis dynamics, Julian is more than qualified to judge Europes finest by machine alone. However, mated with his years of rally, autograss and drift experience, Julian is said to be the toughest judge amongst them all, his attention to detail and technical excellence are second to none.
Drifting is a combination of speed, angle, style and skill with a 100% commitment to achieve the ultimate adrenalin rush. I'm hoping 2008 is to be the ultimate year for “Drifting” as the most exciting form of motorsport entertainment at a professional level. SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mathew "Mitto" Steele
28 years old
Mersyside UK
Drift Experience - 9 years
Mathew Steele aka 'Mitto' is regarded as one of the founders of drifting in Europe. Since discovering the art in 1999 he has devoted himself to the pursuit of drifting perfection. Having competed in, judged and in some cases managed top level events across Europe, Mitto comes with enough history and experience to judge the best Europe has to offer.
I'm very proud to be involved with JDM Allstars and all it stands for. For a long time I've wanted to be involved with an organisation that truly understands the nature of drifting. With the fresh direction we are taking I hope to bring drifting to the masses and show them that sports involving motors can still be exciting to watch!
Dan Joyce - MC & Commentator
Dan needs little to no introduction. Well known as one of the 4 lunatics on MTV’s Dirty Sanchez show and also a professional skateboarder,
Dan’s passion for drifting has grown through his love for cars and in 2006 bought a drift spec 180sx-nicknamed "Tthe Pirate".
His antics on the Gumball 3000 rally have given him world renowned fame and for 2008 will be joining the JDM team. He is one of the organisers and will be the main MC for events. Dan is seriously enthusisastic and will be key in bringing this sport to the limelight and exposing the cultural background from behind the scenes and on track where it matters!
