Saturday morning of the red bull event was Pro-am Practice qualifing, where was going to many wrecks.Alot of drivers hit the wall

In the build up to this event ,everyone who ws anyone in drifting was flocking to long beach for the world finals to see the best drivers in the world in what was a ground breaking event.

As we where getting real close to the main event the Red Bull Event, time was against us, and we had to fit in three shop visits in one day.

I gave chris a call a few days before hadn and he was cool for us to come down do an interview on the buildup to the event and show us around the shop.

Next we headed of to the Red Bull Drift Team aka-Rhys Millen Racing which was only around the corner

Eric the shop manager showed us around and we did an interview with rhys later as they where packing up for the Red Bull Event

Also met up with JT Whareau (who was good friends with Adam Richards-JDM Judge)

who was working for Rhys and mechanic for Dai Yoshihara

We then headed down to Driftspeed, another shop, but it was more a parts and tuning shop, then a race car team like Rhys/Chris’s

This si the team that Ueo was driving for and we met up with him and Haraguchi at the shop.Really nice guys.

Haraguchi drove for the Driftspeed team in 2008 in Formula D, and the rumour is Ueo is driving for them in the new red car in 2009….

While we where in LA we contacted Jacob @Everythingdrift.com We where keen to film and visit the top teams, and see alot of the behind the scenes culture of the US scene.

Jacob gave us abour 20 contacts but in our shoprt time here we where going to fit in as many as we could before the red bull event.

Garage Boso is located in Gardena and was about a 30 min drive from long beach where we where staying.

Boso is run By Ross Petty current Falken PS13 driver and Frank Shirath mapping and electronics guru for the company.Both guys joined forces in 2007 and have now built up one of the biggest and best drift dedicated shops in LA. Currently they run 4-5 Falken cars from there shop, and cover pretty much everything.

Was cool meeting ross as he was one of the crew that came over from Hawaii when drifting initially kicked off in the US.Also he lived in Japan for a while and learned the art of drifting from the locals.

Frank originally ran a very successful company called ractune, that mapped alot of famous Drift/track/ drag cars.

The Famous Signal Auto R34 , a bit battered now, many of the signal auto cars are maintained at boso now.
