Kawabata Returns

This very car was Julian from severnside very own car until Kawabata started to hitch the plan and a deal was struck for 2009.

Over the winter of 2008 after Kawabatas very own S15 was sold in Europe, and he made a complete rebuild of the PS13.The car will be running a Tomei 2.2 fully rebuilt balanced and matched engine with a very trick Neprec handbuilt SR20 head with solid lifters, making this very engine able to rev to 9000 rpm which is un-heard of with these engines.

On the side of the engine will be a Trust TD06-25G capable of 550hp, and with this very trick engine setup has proven very responsive. Management will be run by HKS V-Pro gold, and will be doubled checked when it lands in the UK, as Greg Gush from Weston Performance has been enlisted as the engine mapper for this beast to release its full potential.

The transmission is a Trust 5 speed dog box, just fully rebuilt with a OS Giken clutch.

All footwork for the car will be Driftworks tried and proven alignment arms aswell as Driftworks revolutionary CS2 Coilovers which are run by all top flank drivers in Europe at the moment.

The car utilizes lightweight Work emotion XD2’s 18 x 9.5 wrapped in Hero rubber.Hero Tyres have stepped in to help Team severnside and on intial testing in Japan , Kawabata has had raving reviews.

Initial tests of the new car at Bihoku last week in Japan, has showed that there is huge potential in the 2009 car , and K-San feels it will be alot more competitive then the S15.
